Marc Jeannotte

Marc Jeannotte is my uncle and also my hero. He uses his love of fitness to help others by raising money for charities such as The Heart & Stroke Foundation. He is a good role model for his sons and for myself and my brothers because he encourages us to be healthy and also to help other people to be healthy.

Marc was born in North York, Ontario, Canada. He went to Aurora High School, Ontario & Humber College of Applied Arts & Technology in Etobicoke, Ontario. He has always been athletic and tried lots of different sports like wind surfing and skiing. He used to downhill ski with Olympians Brian and Karen Steimel.

Lance Armstrong has always been one of Marc's heroes and influenced him to help others by riding his bike in charity events even when his lack of fitness was an obstacle. Marc was very determined to improve and his speed and endurance quickly increased to riding 100km several days a week.

Marc spends a lot of time preparing for races. Sometimes he rides his bike six days a week. He has raised money for charity to help others and has encouraged his family and friends to do the same. He has become very fit and can ride long distances in a short time.

Marc is very determined and never gives up. He influences me by encouraging me to get lots of exercise and be healthy. He has taught me that everyone has a talent that can help someone else.
