Michelle Kwan

My hero is Michelle Kwan. I think Michelle Kwan goes under the category sports. I put her under the category sports because she does figure skating. She is my hero because she teaches people to never give up on something that you want to do. If she falls she does not give up she kept on trying and trying. and try again and doesn't give up. Like at her first competition she did not quit because she came in 10th place she just tried hard for the next competition. That is why she is my hero.

Michelle was very talented when she was little. She was born on July 7, 1980. She has 1 brother, 1 sister, 1 mom, and 1 dad. Her sister's name is Karen, and her brother's name is Ron. Michelle started to skate when she 5 years old. She started to skate because her older brother played ice hockey. If Ron did not play hockey she would have not wanted to do figure skating. When Ron, Karen, and Michelle walked home somebody had to go through the doggy door to let everyone in, and usually it was Michelle who went through the doggy door because she was the smallest one in the family. Michelle and her sister usually trained together at the ice skating rink. That is Michelle Kwan's background life as a child.

Michelle is a famous figure skater and she accomplished a lot of things. Michelle is a great skater and she got into the Ice Castle which is the best ice skating rink in the USA. When she was 12 she got 10th place in her first competition. Then, in 1992 she won gold in the Southwest Pacific Regionals. Those are some of her accomplishments in her life. She has done a lot for the community and others. Michelle teaches people that you should not give up just because you fell or because you got a bad ranking, you should get up and try again. She teaches people that because if you give up you will never learn to try harder on things you want to do. Once someone that is on her team named Nancy got hurt so she got on the Olympic team but after Nancy was healed she gave the spot to Nancy because Nancy deserved to be on the Olympic team. That is what she did for the community and others.

She also capture the world title in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2003. Those are her awards in her life.

Michelle has a lot of character traits. One is that she is brave. Michelle Kwan is brave because she wants to try new things. She once tried out for senior skaters(the best skaters) without her coach knowing. Another is that she determined. Michelle is determined to not give up. She is determined because if she falls she will get up and try again. Lastly she is focused. She is focused during performances that she doesn't smile. She is so focused that during practice she doesn't even smile. These are Michelle's character traits.

Michelle is a really good skater. She is a hero because she never gave up and kept on trying and because kept on trying she got a good medals. She also got known for ice skating because she kept on trying. Michelle could not imago on not skating at all in her life. Michelle Kwan is my hero.
