A hero is someone who does something great in his or her life that can be looked upon as a hero. It is also someone who doesn't worry about his or her own safety or needs. They go out of their own way to help someone else.   Also, it is someone who does something brave that is not required, but is a true selfless act.  I don't think someone has to be famous to be a hero because a hero is someone who should be modest and shouldn't focus on the limelight of his or her actions. That person should act in a selfless way.

Most of these characteristics describe my most inspirational hero, my mother.  My mother sacrificed a lot so I and my sister could have a good life; this included our house that my mother had a mortgage on.  She raised three children that were not hers, but my father's.  During that time her mother was diagnosed with cancer, so my mother took care of her for seven years until she died. When my mother had a large house she would take in homeless people off the streets because she didn't want to see people on the streets.  She inspires me to be a lawyer so I can help others get out of bad situations that they don't deserve to be in.   Also, she inspires me to be something in life that would help me and others in my community.
