Michelle Obama did good things that influenced many people. She is someone that people look up to, she worked with the fitness of kids, she supported missing kids and worked to help young adults take charge of their education after high school. Michelle was inspired by the United States to do many initiatives, these initiatives help the kids and young adults of the United States.

She grew up never thinking she would do what she did. Mrs. Obama was inspired to do an initiative called "Let's Move!"( Fuel Up to Play 60) by the outrageous number of kids that have obesity in the U.S. This initiative was to get kids to be active for at least sixty minutes a day, which would help get rid of child obesity. She cares about the fitness of young kids in the United States. Along with "Let's Move" she created an initiative called "Reach Higher".

Michelle Obama created an initiative called "Reach Higher". The initiative "Reach Higher" is an effort to influence young people to take charge of their future by completing an education past high school (4-year college degree). She was inspired to do this because a high school diploma just isn't enough in today's community. Michelle Obama is a hero because of the good things she did.

A way someone is a hero is when a person who does good things for the greater good, is an influence to people, cares about other people, and is someone that a young person wants to be like when they grow up. Michelle Obama fits my definition because she cares about the health of kids in the United States, she doesn't do it for the fame, she does it because she cares. She did many different initiatives to help the kids of the United States. Whether it was helping get rid of childhood obesity, pushing an effort to help kids develop their future by getting an education after high school.
