My hero is Dr Magdi Yacoub the world's most famous cardiothoracic surgeon. Dr Magdi was born in Sharkia, Egypt in 16th of November 1935. Magdi Yacoub graduated from Cairo University and qualified as a doctor in 1957, then he travelled to Britain and qualified as a consultant cardiothoracics surgeon at Harfield Hospital in 1962, and he thought about heart surgery because of his aunt who died in her early 20s by a heart disease. At the age of 65, Sir Magdi officially retired but he is the leader of a surgery team that still save people's lives.

Dr. Magdi has a lot of achievements like :establishing heart transplantation in UK and becoming the world's leading transplant surgeon establishing the heart science center. The Chain Of Hope charity which provides cardiothoracic surgical care to the developing world, pioneering the modern arterial switch operations and also has some notable prizes like Order Of Merit, Knight Bachelor and Order Of the Nile.

The word of "my hero" means to a lot of people a great person with hard or brave work, it isn't easy to call somebody a hero. "Hero" means for me a person who fights the darkness and helps people to keep them safe. And a person who prevents people from a dangerous situation.
