I’ve known my hero by watching him on TV, magazines, and news. I like watching him ride and how he wins Competitions. He is good at bmx. He has won countless Competitions. I was aware of him when I saw he pictures in a magazine. His pictures amazed me. In my opinion he is the best rider in bmx.

Mike Aitken is a professional freestyle bmx rider. He has been riding professionally since 1997. He never attended college but he did graduate from high school. He doesn’t have a continuous salary. He gets paid by winning competitions, endorsements and his sponsors. He trains a lot so he can win competitions.

Mike always liked riding his bike. When his friends went to the bar, he stayed and rode more. He graduated high school but he never went to college. He took a good path; no drugs, no alcohol. But the path he took had one fault. He didn’t wear a helmet. In 2008 Mike went to a dirt jump that he had done many times but he fell. Mike went into a coma. He had a broken jaw and his right side was paralyzed among other things. He had to learn how to swallow and walk. Now he is back on his bike. He can barely ride but he is wearing his helmet.

Mike has been helping the public by telling kids to wear helmets because even the best riders get hurt. Just because you’re good doesn’t mean you’re invincible. He has convinced riders to wear helmets so they won’t end up like him in the hospital. Wearing your helmet is cheaper than going to the hospital.

I would like to be like my hero. I need to graduate high school like my hero. College is optional for this sport. My hero never went to college. He was too busy riding. I would like to win Competitions. I would like to be good at my sport and not quit.
