To me a hero is someone you can look up to, someone who helps others and someone who doesn’t look for gratitude or a reward. Sometimes that can’t be helped. They also have accomplished a lot and are successful. Usually a hero does something you are interested in and enjoy. For example, some people like football and their favorite player is their hero. Michael Francis Foley, Sr., more commonly known as Mick Foley, is my hero because he has sacrificed a lot for what he loves, he is very successful, and he is a skilled entertainer.

Mick Foley has risked his life many times for the wrestling business in his matches. He has put his body through so much in his career. In one of his matches against the undertaker, (a hell in the cell match) he actually fell 16 ft down on the announcer table. Later in the same match the undertaker choke-slammed him through the top of the cell down to the ring, He also had two- thirds of his right ear ripped off when he was caught in the ropes one time.

Mick has also achieved a lot in his 24 years of wrestling. In fact he is a successful author, wrestler, and investor. He has written a few autobiographies about his wrestling career and children’s books that have been on the New York Times bestseller list for several weeks. He has even been a guest on many talk shows and has been on some TV shows. In addition, Foley has been a face for the wrestling world for most of the time he has been a pro wrestler. He is the kayfabe or Executive Shareholder of TNA which means he makes a lot of decisions for the company and is in charge.

Mick Foley is a very skilled wrestler and entertainer. He has held many championships from the Indy circuit to the pro circuit. He is known as the hardcore legend. He has held 30 championships in his 24 year career as a professional wrestler. All the championships he has held range from singles titles to tag team titles and even hardcore titles. He was inducted into the wrestling hall of fame in 2000.

These are just a few of the reasons why Mick is my hero. He has sacrificed his life for the career he loved. He is successful author, entertainer and father. He is also a very skilled wrestler, because he is known as a hardcore legend, held various titles, and is a hall of famer.
