Michael Jeffery Jordan was a professional basketball player in the NBA. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 17, 1963. Michael Jordan was the fourth child of James and Deloris Jordan. As a youngster his sport was baseball. Following his brothers footsteps he played basketball. he played for the Chicago bulls and the Washington Wizards. His jersey numbers were 23,45,and 9.His transactions: Retired, 10/6/93; Activated from retirement, 3/18/95; Retired, 1/13/99; Signed with Washington Wizards, 9/25/01. He is 6ft 6in and weighs 216lb. His high school was Laney (wilington,NC)and his college was North Carolina. His position was shooting guard. This is my hero because he is one of the few basketball players I know. Another reason I chose him is because he is my favorite athlete. He did so well at Laney high school, he received a scholarship from the University of North Carolina. He was drafted 3rd overall in the NBA draft and went to the Chicago Bulls. I chose him because he is a hero that never gave up. His shoes are awesome so that is another reason. I picked him because I want to be just like him when I grow up. I also picked him because he cares about people I'm a big fan of Michael Jordan. Michael taught me not to give up.

This is my hero Michael Jeffery Jordan. Michael Jordan returned to the NBA on March 18, 1995 after overcoming his father's death, and led the Bulls to another championship. Michael Jordan trained hard to reach his goal of being a basketball player. I want to reach my goal someday too. In my opinion I think Michael Jordan is the best basketball player. That's why he's my hero.
