If Michael Jordan decides to boil a 5 minute egg, he would make $618 while boiling it. Michael Jordan is my hero because his skills in basketball set the bar for other basketball players in the NBA today. He has charities that support kids and for up and coming basketball players today. He has many qualities and records in basketball that make him the greatest.
M.J. was born in 1963 on February 17 in Brooklyn, New York. Throughout school, basketball was his favorite sport. He also liked football and baseball. He went to the University of North Carolina from 1981-1984. He made the winning shot at the NCAA championship in 1982 against Georgetown. He joined the bulls in 1984, then became rookie of the year in 1985.
Michael Jordan grew to be 6' 6". He led the Bulls to three championships from 1991-1993. He also led scoring in the NBA from 1986-1993. He announced his first retirement October 6th, 1993, saying he achieved all his goals in basketball. Then he began a second career as a baseball player for the Chicago White Sox. He went back in 1995.
After he came back from retirement, he led the Bulls to 3 more championships (1996-1998). Throughout his career he averaged 30.1 points per game. He retired once more in 99. The death of his father discouraged him to back off the basketball scene. In the following years he became part owner of the Washington Wizards. He sold his part of the team and eventually came back again and played two season with them. After those season he retired for good in 2003.
I'm glad Michael Jordan was able be apart of the NBA. He has set big examples for other players by his outstanding sportsmanship. His title as the greatest to ever player b-ball is definitely earned. His qualities show that anyone can be just as great as he was in anything, sports or life.
