Mana

by Ashley from Fernandina Beach

Ahhhh yes...Mana. When you think of that name what comes to mind? A man perhaps; with a name like Man-a who wouldn't. Well Mana IS A man. A very beautiful man that not many people would say is pretty. Men aren't supposed to be beautiful but Mana definitely is an exception to the not-so-spoken rule.

Yes, some may call him a crossdresser. That is basically what he is but we people who actually like this sort of thing call him a masterpiece. Mana spends two hours on his makeup. He makes sure everything is all right and perfect just like him^_^. The following will be a little biography for all of you who don't know about the wonder who is ~Mana~

Mana was born in Hiroshima, Japan. As a child he grew up listeneing to classical music. His father was a conductor, so naturally he learned to play various instruments. Mana formed a band with a friend named Közi. This band would eventually gain and lose very valuable members. This band was called Malice Mizer.

His "Baby," Malice Mizer, was his pride and joy. The first vocalist was Tetsu. The first drummer was Gaz, the two guitarists: Mana and Közi, and the bassist: Yu~ki. Mana, Közi, and Yu~ki stayed in the band until it's end in 2001. The second vocalist was Gackt and the second drummer was Kami. Kami died June 21, 1999. R.I.P. Kami. Gackt left the band shortly before Kami died and then was replaced by Klaha. Mana has been through alot hmmm?

Mana HAS to be my hero because he has went through alot to keep his musical career going. I am so proud of him for that. He also keeps on doing what he likes and makes alot of money. After Malice Mizer split up, Mana formed a band called Moi dix Mois. The name is French for "My ten months." By the way, Mana is in love with French things...I am too. I love Mana and he will always be my hero.
