This website is intended to share your thoughts about heroes in your life. That is why I made this page to share with everyone my family hero. With that being said I would have to say that my family is very important to me. They are always there for me, and they care for me a whole lot. They have watched me grow up, and taught me right from wrong. So when I think about family heroes the person that comes to my head is my dad. I look up to him and admire him so I can be a great dad, husband, and all-around good person just like him someday.
My dad Mark lived in a house with his mom, dad, and three sisters. They lived in Rocheport, Missouri, where he grew up all his life. When he was four years old he lost his dad, but he stayed strong like the strong-willed person he is. Growing up he went to New Franklin R-1 School. He attended that school from preschool all the way till he graduated in 1980. Through all his teenage years he was interested in cars. So after graduating he decided to pursue his dream.
He decided to go to Linn State Technical Institute for a career in anything dealing with automotives. He went there for a short amount of time only going 2 years before graduating from Linn. Awhile after graduating he married my mom Connie Welbern, who is also a very important person in my life, and is just as big of a hero to me as my dad. There are four of us kids, and each one of us look up to our parents. They do everything for us which gives another reason to call my dad and even my mom my hero.
Now Mark is in his 40's working for a food delivering company. He comes home to his wife and four kids. He is always trying to have fun and be there for them. He loves playing video games and basketball with us in his spare time. He calls it father to son bonding time. He loves joking around and being funny. He likes making people laugh which is always fun. Dad and I have a great relationship and it always make life easier when you have a great relationship with your parents. Which leads me to why this stuff makes him my hero.
There are many reasons I’m saying all of these things. The main reason is to elucidate to everyone why he is my hero. The first reason because he is strong-willed and that’s something that heroes are. Also the fact that I look up to him makes me want to go to the same college to kind of follow in his footsteps. Him being my hero makes me want to be like him when I get older. If I become like him I could have great family and my kids will look up to me and call me their hero.
