14289Henry Norman Bethune-I made it myselfHenry Norman Bethune was born on 1890, March 3, Gravenhurst, Ontario. He was the son of a Presbyterian minister Rev. Malcolm Bethune and his wife Elizabeth. Bethune was a hero to the Chinese but he was Canadian, and not a lot of people know him. He went to a trinity college. He also went to medical school.

14290Henry Norman Bethune-i made it myselfNorman Bethune was an lifesaver/doctor. He was most popular in China. You could find many statues and paintings on Norman Bethune. He did many blood transfers and surgeries. He even gave his own blood to a lot of soldiers. Norman got a disease from a surgery and had to go to the hospital for a few months. Then when he was healed he went back to work. Norman Bethune was in the war when Japan attacked. Norman was a great doctor.

14291Henry Norman Bethune-I made it my selfNorman Bethune’s lifetime job was being a doctor. He also joined the Spanish Civil war. After he graduated from university he began to teach surgery. Norman Bethune did not just fight the Chinese and the Spanish wars. He also fought against his war. It was not long when he died. Norman Bethune died because he got infected on his hand and there was no medicine for him.

Even though Norman Bethune died, we still remember him. He was a great hero. Now many pictures and statues can be found, and books. I chose Norman Bethune because he helped China a lot.
