Nickolas Cage

My hero is Nicolas Cage because he cares about the people and donates to charities, and also he is the hero to others that he has donated to that he helped by giving up his own money. He at least donated 5 million dollars total or more. He supports; Chrysalis which is a homeless charity, Amnesty International, Hillsides, Oceana, Screen Actors Guide Foundation, and the Art of Elysium

Nicholas has donated one million dollars to Hurricane Katrina victims in New Orleans. Amnesty International had announced that Cage donated two million dollars to them to establish a fund to former child soldiers and end the suffering for them. This will include rehabilitation centers, medical services and psychological and reintegration services, and to support Amnesty International work on the child soldiers. In 2009 Nicolas started supporting the Royal United Hospital Friends Forever Appeal to help raise 4.5 million dollars and to kick off the campaign he bought a virtual brick that symbolizes the materials that’s needed to build it.

Nicholas Cage, is not his real name. It's Nicholas Kim Coppola. He changed his name in the early stages of his acting career. He was born on January 7 1964, in Long Beach, California. Nicolas has two older brothers, Marc and Christopher. He is the nephew of the film director, Francis Ford Coppola. He would visit his uncle often, who lived in San Francisco. At age 15 he fell in love with acting one summer when he visited his uncle. He dropped out of his high school to start his acting career. In 1981 was the first time he appeared on the silver screen. After that he had decided he wanted to change his last name so he could be separated from his famous uncle, Francis Ford Coppola. He got the last name from a comic book character, Luke Cage.
