Nicolae Grigorescu

Nicolae Grigorescu was born on May 15, 1838 and died on July 21, 1907. He was born in a village in Romania and died in Campina, Romania. Nicolae Grigorescu is known as a famous painter. In 1843, when his father died, the family moved to Bucuresti, Romania. Nicolae Grigorescu created a lot of icons for the church of Baicoi. Grigorescu went to study in Paris, France, where he met other painters and some of them influenced his art.
