Nicolas Hulot

For me a hero is someone who is brave, courageous and determined. A hero doesn't think only themselves, but does think about others, and preserves their humanity. So Nicolas Hulot is all of these adjectives. Nicolas Hulot is an ecologist activist, a writer and a politic man. He was born on April, 30, 1955 in Lille, France, and he is still alive. When Nicolas Hulot was younger he lost his father to cancer, and his brother too, because he committed suicide the day of Christmas..

Later, when he was older, on 1990 Nicolas Hulot found the Ushuaia Foundation, he became an ecologist activist and fought for the preservation of environment and the vegetation and animal species. His foundation has a goal to support environmental initiatives. In 1989 to 1991 he wrote three books on his experiences and convictions of ecologist militants. He has produced many campaigns. For example, on April 2000 the campaign "SOS-Mer Propre, l'eau de la source a la mer" permitted to save many aquatic species, in voices of extinction. In March 2011 he reproduced the action and started up an other projects "Qu'est ce qu'on mange" to inform the population about OGM. Finally his last campaign is "My Positive Impact" to give power and importance of solutions for the climate to take out the anonymity.

As a result I think Nicolas Hulot is a hero, because he inspired many french people to fight fot the preservation of environment. Nicolas Hulot isn't just a hero for one thing but a hero for the environment, hero for the world.
