In honor of Nelson Mandela, I did research about this hero in “Biography Today.” I chose Nelson Mandela because I have heard about his impact on South Africa and the whole world, so I wanted to learn more about him. After the research, I was glad I did because I learned so much about him.
Who knew such a normal beginning would give the world such a hero? Nelson Mandela was born in Umtata, Transkei, South Africa, on July 18, 1918. His parents were Henry Mandela and Nonqaphi Mandela. Nelson was married twice in his life. First, to Evelyn Ntoko Maze, with whom he had three children with: two sons, Thembi and Makaathow, and a daughter, Mako. They divorced, and he married Nomzamo Winnie Madikileza. He had two daughters with her, Zenani, and Zindziswa.
The foundation of heroism is education. Up until high school, Nelson attended Headtown Methodist Boarding school. He then attended Fort Hare University College. When he was finished at Fort Hare, he attended Witwaterstand University

Hard work contributes to heroism. Nelson Mandela had many career highlights. In 1944, he founded the Youth League of National Congress. In 1956, he was arrested and charged with treason for encouraging resistance to the Pass Law of Apartheid (racial segregation). He also went underground and founded the ANC’s (African National Congress) armed wing. He named it “Spear of the Nation.”
Nelson Mandela is important to mankind and changed the world. He founded the Youth League of African National Congress, he encouraged resistance to the pass law of apartheid, he went underground, and he founded the ANC’s armed wing. He did so much to help this world. That is why Nelson Mandela is a real hero.
