My hero is Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj was born December 8, 1984 and is of Indo-Asian descent. She studied singing and acting at LaGuardia High School. I choose Nicki Minaj because she is a very influential, hard working, giving, and talented person. From a family where her father tried to kill her mother, she has become one of the greatest female rappers.

My hero’s hero is her mother because her father tried to kill her mother by setting the house on fire, while she was still in it. Also her mother had to put up with Nicki’s father being an alcoholic, and a drug addict. Nicki Minaj has made it her top priority to make her mother happy and take care of she and her family.

Differences that my hero made was, Nicki Minaj turned November 26, 2010 from Black Friday to Pink Friday. She used her album Pink Friday to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation which raises money to help fund a cure for breast cancer and spread awareness. Also Nicki Minaj wears pink wigs most of the time to support breast cancer awareness.

Nicki Minaj is outgoing with all of her style and inspires others to be themselves and to be a leader and not a follower. And always be yourself, not to let anybody change that. I think Nicki Minaj is a fabulous, hard working, and giving role model. Nicki Minaj is very determined. And I am glad she is my hero.
