Nicholas Tse

My hero is Nicholas Tse. He is a popular Chinese singer, songwriter, actor and musician. Nicholas became acquainted with his art as a child because of his parents, actors Patrick Tse and Deborah Li.

Nicholas went to Canada to study when he was five years old. Later, he went to several places such as Hong Kong, Phoenix, Arizona, and then Vancouver for education. At the age of 16, Nicholas started performing and heard some shouting, “Get off stage!” But, he never gave up his music career and says, “My assistants are the ones who are dropping the tears, but I believe in myself and believe in music.” Some media also reported bad gossip about Nicholas; people thought he never worked hard to become popular; instead, he followed in his parents’ footsteps.

Under audiences and medias’ pressure, Nicholas started his first EP Attitude in 1997 and got millions people’s adoration. Later, Nicholas started his second, third and forth EP, and became the most celebrated singer in Asia. Nicholas held totally twenty-two concerts in Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and China. In 2002, Nicholas made his venture into the movies in New Police Story with Jackie Chan, Young and Dangerous, Dragon Tiger Gate, and Invisible Target and son on . Nicholas’ performance earned him a Hong Kong Film Award for Best New Artist.

Nicholas is also one of the best-known philanthropist in China. He donated over two hundred million Yuan for the Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008. He also supported the children who are unable to get to school over the year, and he held concerts to contend with the tsunami in Asia and so on.

Nicholas Tse is my hero not only he is an extraordinary singer and actor, but also he is a beneficent philanthropist.
