Neil DeGrasse Tyson

I When I first thought to myself, "Who is my hero?" Nobody came to my mind. So I did some research. I wanted to find an influential person with the same interests as me to write about. I was looking and looking, and then finally I found a match. Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Neil DeGrasse Tyson is my hero because of his scientific achievements, his strive for teaching others, and for his determination to succeed.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson's scientific achievements have become valuable aspects of modern sciences. Neil was one of the key factors of labeling Pluto as a dwarf planet. He also published many scientific papers such as reporting many new stars and planets in our galaxy. Neil's discoveries are important because they helped him reach his fame and help his fellow scientific community advance.

Tyson's determination to succeed is an inspiring part about him that made him who he is today. He attended Harvard, University of Texas at Austin, Columbia University, and Princeton. He has a bachelors degree in physics, a masters in astronomy, and a masters and a doctorate in astrophysics. Only the most hardworking of all the hardworking students can attend four universities and receive two masters, a bachelors, and a doctorate degree. Neil's determination to succeed is an inspiring part about him.

His strive for teaching others really show his bountiful sharing of knowledge. Tyson wrote many books about astronomy and the creation of the universe. His books hold wells of knowledge about astronomy and are easy to learn from. Tyson also ran many different radio broadcasts and TV shows. Cosmos was a very successful show about our galaxy, the creation of our universe, and our solar system. A famous radio show that he hosts is Star Talk, a broadcast about the environment, colonizing other planets, and other such things. This quality is the main reason of why Neil DeGrasse Tyson is so famous today.

Looking back, Neil's three heroic qualities make him the hero of mine today. Tyson has inspired me to learn more about science. I hope that one day, I can be somebody else's hero for the same reasons. Tyron's story is important because it is inspiring and can help many people accomplish success.
