Who is Steve Nash? Most people think Steve Nash is just an excellent point guard, but he is a playmaker on and off the court. Steve Nash was born in Johannesburg, South African February 7, 1974.He went to the college Santa Clara where he was player of the year in soccer and basketball. He was drafted 15 overall in the 1st round by the Phoenix Suns of the NBA in 1996.

As a six foot three point guard with a nickname of Kid Canada, Nash Proves to the NBA that Canadians can play MVP style basketball. Two years After his draft pick Nash was traded to the Dallas Mavericks where he played very well. After 6 seasons with Dallas he was traded back to the Suns, where he won a lot of Awards.

While he was with the Suns he formed The Steve Nash program. This program helps people that suffer from poverty, illness, abuse, and neglect. The program aims to grow health in the kids. It creates opportunity for education, play, and empowerment. This foundation is located in Phoenix and British Columbia. Nash has also another program called Steve Nash Youth Basketball that has over 10,000 participants. In his Career Nash won 05, 06 MVP and co TSN MVP. He is also a 5-time all-star and a 4-time all-NBA selection.

Nash is my hero because he displays outstanding leadership qualities on and off the court. On the court he is a team player who is a role model to his fans and his teammates. Off the court, Nash develops programs to people in need. I admire everything Steve Nash does, especially when I see him on TV. Whether it is winning a trophy, a game, or making a spectacular play, it is all worth it. He is an intelligent player who never gives up.

Steve Nash has made a tremendous difference in my life. This is because I think of him as a person who changes lives. I am one of those lucky ones who has had his life changed by Steve Nash. Nash played soccer; I also play on the U14 travel team. Nash plays for the Phoenix Suns. That is why I am a fan of that Team. When I am older if I am as talented as Steve Nash I will do the best for my team and also my community by being hardworking, intelligent, safe, healthy, and always with a caring spirit just like Steve Nash.
