A hero is someone who inspires you to acheive personal goals. My hero is Steve Nash. I chose him as my hero because he is a great basketball player and a good role model. Steve is a great player on and off the court.
Steve Nash is a great role model and perfect to look up to. He has his own Charity foundation (The Steve Nash Foundation) for foster kids, and kids affected by poverty, illnes, abuse, and neglect . Steve has his own basketball league of over 10,000 people. Nash also has a rececycle program for the adopt-a-school program. Time Magazine named Nash as one of the most 100 influential people in the world.
Steve Nash is a very intriguing person. He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on February 7, 1974 to a family of a Welsh mother and an English father. His Family Moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, When Steve was 18 moths old. Not long after he moved to Vancouver and finally stayed in Victoria, British Columbia. Nash has a disease called Spondylolisthesis, a vertabra movement in the spine which causes Muscle tightness and back pain. Steve was not a basketball player until he was 12 or 13 when his friend told him to. Even though he didn't start untill he was 12 or 13 he is the first Canadian to play in the NBA.
Steve Nash has become one of the Greatest players in the NBA. Steve Nash was the Most Valuable Player of the 2005, and the 2006. Nash was also a four time NBA All Star. He also led the league in assists with 861 in 2005 and 826 in 2006. Steve was named as the ninth best point guard of all time.
Steve Nash is a great guy. He is someone who cares about the kids and sets good examples. He shows us if you work hard you can acheive your goals no matter where you're from. Steve is a great player who is for the welfare of kids and people less fortunate than him.
