Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were born in June 13th 1986, Sherman Oaks, California. Their parents’ names are David Olsen and Jarnie Jones. They have a brother, Trent Olsen and a sister Elisabeth Olsen. Since 1987, the Olsen twins were acted in their first TV series, ‘Full House’. Many people watched their show, the show was very popular in late 80’s and early 90’s. Shortly after ‘Full House’, the Olsen twins were became very popular figures.

They were as popular as many of Hollywood’s child stars such as Shirley Temple, Ron Howard, and Macaulay Culkin. They were ranked at number three at VH1 program, 100 The Greatest Child Stars. They acted in other successful TV series like, ‘The Adventure of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen,’ ‘The ABC Show,’ ‘It Takes Two,’ ‘Two of a Kind’ and ‘So Little Time.’ The Olsen twins were nominated as the youngest self-made millionaires before they were 10 years old.

In 1993, they released their first home video, ‘Mary-Kate and Ashley: Our First Video.’ They also released ‘Mary-Kate and Ashley’ magazine. The magazines were very popular among teenage girls. Before they were 18 years old, they had already produced their own clothing line, fragrance, make up, home video and books. They were very profitable for the entertainment industry. In 2003, their profit of the ‘Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Brand’ was up to 500 million US dollars. They also became the chairmen of their entertainment industry, Dual Star Entertainment Group.

Mary-Kate and Ashley announced that they would be attending college after graduating from high school. It was surprising to many people, because most teenage stars were continuing their jobs instead of attending college. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen studied at New York University in Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Mary-Kate took photography as her academic major and Ashley took psychology. They started their studies in 2000 until 2004. The Olsen twins received a star on ‘The Hollywood Walk of Fame’ on April, 29th 2004. They are the youngest celebrities to receive this honor.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have inspired my life to do things seriously. They do their jobs in the entertainment world very seriously, so they can become very successful and famous stars. They also remind me that money isn’t the important thing in our life. They already got very rich, but they still wanted to attend college.
