In my life , i have a hero who’s encouraged me to fulfill my life to be better than before, also give me the inspiration to study harder, eager to reach a better future, and to be more patient. My hero is a strong woman, she is very smart, low profile. Her name is Oprah Gail Winfrey. What has made me like her? There are many things she does that are unbelievable and I adore her. She’s very clever, wise, in her life she never gives up, full of spirit and those things have motivated me to solve and face difficult problems in my life. And feel that there is always a way to pass it.

OPRAH’s LIFE

Born: January 29, 1954

At: Kosciusko, Mississippi, United States

Occupation: Talk Show host

She was born to unmarried teenage parents, who were poor. After her birth she was left by her parents with her grandmother. Her grandmother taught her to read, went to church, and punished her if she did not behave properly. At age of six she moved back with her mother, but when she was nine years she was molested by her cousin, uncle, and a family friend. As she is clever she skipped grades twice and got a scholarship when she was 13 or at her senior high school. When she was 14 she ran away from home and got pregnant but her baby died after birth. She was sent to her father who encouraged her and made her study, she became an honors student. At 17 she studied at the university and at the same time she started working at a radio station.

CAREER

At 22 she worked at WJZ television station. In 1983 she was relocated to WLS-TV show, then her show was namely The Oprah Winfrey Show and it's already broadcast nationally for 2 decades.

Beside being a producer, she also became an actress. A director of “O, The Oprah Magazine”, she has online “Oprah.com”

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

She has her own private charity, “ The Oprah Winfrey Foundation” which supports education, builds schools for the poor people, gives scholarships to the students, gives help to to children in South Africa, contributed ans established “The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation” in South Africa. She received may honors, and also got most prestigious awards and highest industry acknowledgments.

I admire her very much and she is my hero, as she taught how important education is means as she believe that education is to get a brighter future. She has a high social life by giving help to poor people. She is a generous woman by giving appreciation to others. She is very smart when she does her “talk show”

As a student what I can do is to be more diligent, try to think positive, want to help others surrounding us.
