Pavel Datsyuk led the Detroit Red Wings in 2002 to the Stanley Cup Finals. He is well respected for all of his leadership, conduct, and inspirations. Pavel Datsyuk (Pavs) was born on July 20th, 1978 in Russia. Pavel lived in Sverdlovsk, 1000 miles east of Moscow. Pavel's mother died when he was 12 years old, causing a rough childhood for him("Legends Of Hockey"). Pavel Datsyuk possess leadership by leading the Detroit Red Wings to the Stanley Cup Finals and taking the cup in 2002. Datsyuk possess a positive attitude because of his sportsmanship. Pavel Datsyuk, the current assistant captain for the Detroit Red Wings (2015) is a hero because of his leadership for his teammates. Pavel Datsyuk shows leadership by leading the Detroit Red Wings to the Stanley Cup Finals by scoring many goals throughout the season. "Datsyuk was a key player in Detroit's Stanley Cup run in 2002 finishing his rookie season with 11 goals and 24 assists for 35 points" ("Legends Of Hockey"). Pavel Datsyuk scored 11 goals and 24 assists during the season of their Stanley Cup win, leading the wings to the Stanley Cup Finals for a victory. He scored many goals throughout the NHL Season, leading the Wings to conquering many seasonal games. Pavel Datsyuk is a Russian born hockey player, who has potential. "Pavel Datsyuk is a Russian-born hockey player. He plays for the Detroit Red Wings National Hockey League (NHL) team" ("Partners"). Datsyuk's Mother passed when he was young, causing him to have extreme emotions and difficulty focusing on his hockey career. Pavel had a rough childhood when he was young, because of his mothers loss. He became a self-sufficient person with a focused mindset on the NHL. Pavel Datsyuk is an excellent teammate because of his leadership, and his skills that lead the Red Wings to success.

Pavel Datsyuk's conduct earned him trophies, victories, and the Stanley Cup. "After the 2006 season, Datsyuk received the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, which honored sportsmanlike play combined with quality" (Gale). Datsyuk's Conduct on the Ice and off earned him a trophy which honored his sportsmanlike conduct and skills. The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy is given to a player with the best sportsmanlike conduct, which Datsyuk possessed. Pavel Datsyuk's conduct is a very important aspect of his victories. "'He's been around long enough that he knows what it takes and how to take care of himself,' says a Western Conference scout'"(Yorio). Datsyuk is a self-coordinated human being who leads his teammates to victory, and has excellent conduct at the same time. Datsyuk is a very respectful hockey player, respecting other players at all times on the ice. Pavel Datsyuk's conduct on an off the ice has made a huge impact on his career, and his team.
