Patricia Kaas was born on the 5 of December in 1966, in Phorbah, which was at the border of Germany. Irmguard guessed:” If it’s a girl, I’ll call her Patricia, in the honor of the actress Grace Patricia Kelly.” She was the 7th kid in her large family. Her mother, Irmguard Kaas was a housewife and her father, Josephs Kaas, was working in the coal mines. Her mother wanted Patty to sing and almost assisted her in breaking it off. The girl took up singing in 8 years old, so in 11 she was able to work hard as a singer in “ Rum-pelkammer” in Saarbrukken (Germany).

Patricia was getting promoted on her career and in the first time in her life sang the most famous song “Mademoiselle chante le blues”, which made Kaas the world famous star. She got the first award in 1988 in France for “The best feminine debut”. That year was produced her first album “Mademoiselle chante..”, which was number one album in the world. In April 1990 Pat turned out the new album called “Je te dis vous”. After, she became the most popular singer all over the world. At her concerts she enjoys being gentle, intimate or even strongly emotional. “Most of the time, I love to appear on the scene”- admits Patricia-” and have a contact with public!” The 3rd album “Scene de Vie” was produced in the USA. “Patricia is one of the fascinating artists”- noticed Phill Ramon-” and also it’s important that she’s really emotional.” Lots of dreams have come true in her career and now she is the most popular and amazing star!

I had never heard about Patricia Kaas before! I used to hear her, but I didn’t care about it at all. In general, I was not keen on her earlier. So, I was taken aback by her fascinating voice! Her actressy and deep timbre was absolutely gorgeous. With it she shows her emotions, feelings. Kaas always succeeded in all that she ever wanted! She’s got a rigid character and always thinks well of her plans. But besides, I like her magnificent appearance. Now she’s 42, but looks like she’s 30! As Pat have said, she nearly does nothing, just dances. Moreover she’s refined, graceful and flexible. Patricia dresses up in the best clothes and looks magnificent. Also the star is really sympathetic! I love her expressive, blue eyes, also lovely, unusual smile. All in all I’d like to say that Kaas is romantic. I was surprised very much that she knows English, German, Russian languages. It was said that Patricia wanted to stay in Russia because a lot of outstanding people are around her! She’s an excellent singer, who I am proud of.

So in 2008 Patricia traveled all over the world and decided to visit Russia, she was in my native city Voronezh. To my mind, she was the first French artist who came to our place, and again as she has said, she enjoyed it. I’d like to tell you about her two days in Voronezh before the concert.

The most exquisite singer arrived on the 28 of November in Voronezh with the concert. When Patricia found herself in Voronezh she took to the restaurant “Desperado” to have a dinner. Right away after, Patricia and her musicians set off for a hotel called “Phoenix”. She was traveling by limousine, which was provided to her. When she was in a hotel, it took her no time to fall asleep. The next day there was a concert. The new show “Kabaret” Patricia calls as performance. Also there were old songs and songs from the new album, which was produced after 4-years pause. The concert was about two hours. Patricia performed encore three songs, one of which was “Mne nravitsya”, from the everlasting movie. That song she sang in Russian, which was show-stopping and the audience didn’t want to let Patricia go… Among them was me, who also wanted her to stay with us!

As I’ve already mentioned, on the 28 of November 2008 there was a great Patricia Kaas’s concert. I was there with both my parents. Most of all I liked the scene, furthermore it was clearly seen from the topmost seats in the circus. In my opinion, Patricia chose the best place to perform in. Generally the concert was really astonishing. There were unusual songs, music, dancing. About 2 hours everyone enjoyed her strong, deep voice. Moreover she was given a lot of presents and bunches of flowers. During the concert everybody applauded to the echo, shouted out loud and so on. So it was an unforgettable day in my life, which became a commencement of my being Patricia’s fan. So I’ll never forget that day and from that moment I’m her fan, and I’d like to make my dream come true, to meet Kaas and communicate with her!

Before this, when I returned back home from my English classes, at the bus stop I saw a poster of Patricia Kaas. I looked at the inscription, that was below her large photo. It was written: ”On the 28 of November, the concert of Patricia Kaas in Voronezh circus at 19:00” I didn’t waste my time and wrote the telephone number of the ticket office. After having returned home, I told my parents that Patricia was coming soon, and my father asked if I really wanted to go there. I replied that it was my dream to attend her concert because I had never been there! The next day my parents went to the village but neither said anything nor left the money for tickets. In September there was hot weather, but in the day they had left, it rained heavily. As I was alone at home, I felt a bit bored. Soon I began to cry, because I was thinking that I wouldn’t go to Patricia’s concert. On the 13 of September I decided to give a ring to my mother. So she suggested buying the tickets. Oh, how lucky then I was! And then I thought: “How will I buy the tickets, if I have no money!” Then I remembered that there was my grandmother’s sister, who might give me the money. The next day I phoned at ticket office and asked about the price. So the moment came! I was very lucky that day! And after having bought the tickets, I went to English classes again.

Days were going faster. I couldn’t wait until that day. So the 28 of November came. That’s the day that I’ll remember forever! That day was unusual for me! I went to school with gladness, and again I had to go to my English classes, but for Patricia’s sake I had to miss it. As I do my homework conscientiously I decided to write an essay, that we were asked to write. My father and I left home at 17 o’clock. My mother has still been working, but she promised to be at 18:30 at the circus hall. So I gave my essay to my English teacher and we went on foot. So we decided to hurry, as there was no time left. When we were near to the circus, we were waiting for my mother. It was a bit snowy and suddenly my mother came.

Altogether we entered the circus. Usherette checked our tickets and let us in. There was hardly anyone in the hall: somebody was eating in the circus bar, or just taking off their warm coats. We also took off our coats and reached upstairs. There we sat down at a bench and waited until the doors were opened. I couldn’t imagine myself, that I would see Patricia Kaas live! So the ring set off and usherette let us in the audience hall. In that place was Patricia’s voice saying something behind the scenes. The smell in the audience hall was really sweet, because of Patricia’s perfume. After having found our seats, I decided to look at the scene. It was absolutely amazing! On the arena there was an interesting surface and there were instruments on it. Above there were small lights of different colours. Everything seemed to be gorgeous. People became more and more. So the third ring set off and circus workers started to close the doors. The light was switched off by someone and we began to acclaim Patricia. Some time later Patricia went on the stage. I didn’t recognized her for the first time. But later I saw her, dancing. She was dressed up in semitransparent leggings also in jacket with a belt and wore white high-heeled shoes. She was singing in French and it was so startling! Her new performance called “Kabaret”. During the whole show she changed her clothes four times and became more charming than ever! Her songs were the best that I’ve ever heard. The concert was about two hours. I recall that we couldn’t let Patricia go and moreover wanted her to sing more songs. The most memorable moment was when Kaas started to sing the song in Russian language “Mne nravitsya”. Everyone was in raptures over Patricia Kaas and her beautiful accent! I liked her version of singing that Russian song more than our Russian artist Alla Pugatcheva used to sing. As she finished her greatest show, she ran across the stage and blew kisses to us. It was really striking! I was satisfied that at least I’ve been to Patricia’s concert. After the concert, my mother bought me the photo of Kaas and I was on a cloud!

All in all I’d like to say, that I love Patricia Kaas very much. Nowadays I listen to her magnificent songs, watch her concerts and enjoy her actressy deep voice! In the nearest future, I expect her to come again to our city Voronezh!

My own poem about Patricia Kaas.

I remember every instant,
You were in front of me
And in my dreams like that event
You’ve become my destiny.

I can't forget those sweet dreams,
That became too close to the heart,
When your shadow ran after me,
When you were my part.

I'll never forget you!
Because you're always with me:
In my soul, in my heart, in my thoughts -
I won't forget you, honestly!

You're like an angel in the sky,
You're the best one for me
You're the happiest chance for me!

And again in abandoned avenues of dreams
I see your fame,
And your success, and those applauses,
And I hear your unforgettable name.
Love you and can't live without

Year by year, day by day.
Patricia, my pretty angel,
I love you- eternal beautiful flame !

Danilova Victoria.
