Peyton Manning

by Lucas from Peyton

Peyton Manning was born March 24, 1976. He is 40 years old. He is a retired football QB legend with 115 records. He grew up in a football family, Archie Manning his dad was an amazing football player. As Peyton was growing up, he played football and then he went to the University of Tennessee and broke many records while he played there. His older brother Cooper Manning, was a wide receiver but he hurt his back so he could not play in the NFL. Peyton Manning went to the NFL as did his younger brother Eli Manning. Peyton retired in 2016 after winning the Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos but Eli is still in the NFL playing QB for the New York Giants. Peyton played with the Indianapolis Colts then went to the Denver Broncos.

Peyton gave so much money to St. Vincent's Children's Hospital (Indianapolis), which in 2007 was renamed to "Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent. In 1999, he made the Peyback Foundation to help at risk kids to do things they otherwise would not be able to do. The kids are from abused & neglected homes, foster homes, Boys and Girls clubs, and afterschool programs. He did live in Cherry Hills in Denver while with the Broncos but I'm not sure if he still lives there or moved. So he is a football legend and a really nice guy. I'm sure you can even find more things that he has done to help others and that is why he is my hero.

Peyton Manning changed my life because he made me want to play football and now I know I am really good. I have fun playing football as well. If I never grew up watching him I may have never played football and I'd never know how good I am at football. He also has done so much for families and kids that he is a role model to make me want to do things for others.
