I became interested in Porter Robinson in the 7th grade, right around when my friends started to introduce electro music to me and I just liked his music. Then I learned that he has a very distinct style of mixing and I started to search him out and he seemed to do things that I know I can do and I think if I try I can actually produce. I am attracted to the fact that the performance can all be done from my computer and the music is all flowing and it can make people dance. I also like to produce my own beats. So in the end I have decided I want to do this and DJ and produce.

In this jobs field it is not a steady paced job. One day you could book shows left and right and then not get a show for at most a few months. You need the equipment Dj's use and you have to have the will to put the time into it. In this job field you really have to have good interpersonal skills and good control of your emotions because you could have a gig one day then get out booked by another DJ and you have to accept it. Also these interpersonal skills go good with how you interact with the audience. If you cannot manage that you could go for the manager position who helps organize and tells the group what the best course of action would be.

As a kid Porter Robinson attended high school and left with a 4.0 which was good. So focus and the want to succeed are needed. There really isn't much of a school record except we know he went to Chapel Hill high school on Porter Robinson as in if he was ever absent but he did pay attention in school. Now the main milestone he is going to pass is a highly awaited, by the entire electric style and non electric music, extended play called Worlds.

With Porter Robinson he really just gives to the community through his music. He is trying to turn some of the electronic dance music scene more focused on other aspects of music. He is trending with his style of playing and he seems to be trying to give inspiration to other upcoming DJ's with just the terms of focusing an effort, things that people could put in. This career gives you instant gratification and I guess Porter Robinson has gotten a lot of this and now he is trying to give back through what type of music he produces.

So as it being, to DJ you have to be good all-around or at least a preferable DJ. I plan to keep good grades and I also plan to spend time practicing my skills in this area of work. Although practice for this work is important I will also keep a wide variety of other work available. I want to DJ but also I want to make sure I have a job so I will take classes in physics and also focus on DJ activities so I can do what I want but also make sure I have a job. As I progress on to choose how to proceed with my DJ career I will hopefully get into Cal Poly so I may get a degree in physics so I have a fall back plan.
