Paul Rodriguez Jr.

by Kerwin from Wyandanch

I am going to tell you guys about my hero. My hero's name is Paul Rodriguez Jr. He is also called "P-Rod" which is his nickname. I have admired Paul for 2 to 3 years now; we are both skateboarders but Paul is at a professional level. I first heard about Paul when my friend showed me this movie called "Street Dreams". After the movie was finished Paul's actions gave me the motivation to try skateboarding myself. For most sports I have to consider that my height would be a problem, but not skateboarding. I've been skateboarding ever since I saw the movie "Street Dreams"

Paul Martin Rodriguez III was born on December 31, 1984. He grew up in Northridge, CA with his parents Paul Rodriguez and Laura Martinez. His dad is a comedian and his mom is a secretary. Both have very good paying jobs. Growing up, Paul got his first skateboard from his dad on Christmas; He was excited. I asked his dad through an email interview if Paul Jr. had any heroes? His reply was that; Paul's favorite heroes have always been Bruce Lee, Jesus, Chavez, Mandela, Jay-Z, Eric Koston, Cassius Clay, Jr, and Nas (the rapper). Paul went to Birmingham High School he only made it to the 11th grade. Paul got his GED just to please his mom but he has always known what he wanted to do in his life.

Paul Jr. is a real hero. Do you know what happened in Louisiana? If not it was Hurricane Katrina. Couple years passed by and Paul wanted to help donate to the state of Louisiana. Also he wanted to help Lil Wayne with his deweezy project since Paul and Wayne have been good friends. The crazy part is Paul did a big part donating to Louisiana. It helped kids and adults in the state. After Paul donated kids had a hobby to do made friends and some forgot about Hurricane Katrina. One day Paul was touring around the parts of Louisiana that got hit very badly by the hurricane. Paul is a hero in another way. He has his own website that gives kids the chance to make a successful career and life. Paul does these things called giveaways

Well if my story changes any others life I would be very happy that I helped someone. Maybe one day others can get into skateboarding just like Paul and myself. If there is any chance that you really like my story you can search about Paul Jr. I think that everybody should have a hero or be looking for one to look up to. So that hero will push the person to do something they want in life. In my perspective Paul is a very good hero to all children in various ways. Just remember that we need heroes in this world to make a better and safer place to live. That's what heroes are for.
