Paul Douglas Coffey was born on the first of June 1961 at Weston, Ontario, Canada. He was a hockey player and played for the Edmonton Oilers from 1980-87. He is six feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He played Defense and shot left. He became the first defenseman to score 40 goals in one season, it was the 1981-82 season. His NHL Career lasted from 1980-2000. His uniform was retired into the Rexal rafters in 2005 with the #7.
Paul Coffey is a champion because he loves what he does and has his own charity going to help poor children who want to play hockey. He won three Stanley cups with the Edmonton Oilers and one with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He is 12th in all-time career points and ranked at 28th in best all time 100 hockey players.
I chose Paul Coffey because he is my favorite hockey player of all-time. I relate to him because I play hockey, play the same position and have the same number he wore, #7.
