My hero is Pele. Pele was the greatest soccer player to ever play the game. Pele’s Dad was an unheard of Soccer Player and his mom didn’t support his soccer at all. She was always trying to stop him playing soccer because she thought he would not make a career of it. We are lucky that she didn’t succeed in stopping him playing soccer because soccer would have lost one of its greatest players.

Pele lives in Brazil. He played soccer around 1960 to 1970, and is currently retired but sometimes shows up as a spokesperson. Pele was always very good but a knee injury stopped him from his full potential during his career. Pele’s first world cup was in 1958, but he didn’t really do much until the early 60’s.

Pele is important to me because he proved that you can still be good, no matter what others say. Pele has made a difference in my life because he proved that it doesn’t matter if other people believe in you. You should always keep on trying, because who knows, maybe you can be the next great player.
