A hero is someone who always helps people, does not lie, is honest, loves and respects his or her country, people and language, and a person who will always be remembered by people for his good deeds and intentions.

Therefore my hero is a teacher played by Michelle Pfeiffer in the film Dangerous Minds.

She is about 30 year old teacher who teaches teenagers English in a rather problematic school environment, which I think takes place in New York. She tries to do her best and does not give up. She is persistent and brave and wants to help those teenagers. In a nice and interesting way she makes studying possible and shows the youngsters that there is always somebody who cares about them in this world and that it is worth trying and doing their best.

Since we share the same profession and since I have been trying all my professional life to become such a teacher I have found many similarities with her. She has made a difference in my life, that is whenever I would like to give up I remember her and I remember what she achieved at the end and I keep hoping, working and trying again and again and again.
