A hero? What exactly is a hero? - Superman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman? Everyone has their own idea of what a hero is. The real definition of a hero is a person that shows great courage. My idea of a hero is Ronald Reagan!

Ronald Reagan was the 40th president of the United States of America. I would definitely say that is courageous. He was president for two terms. The years that he was in office were 1981-1989. He was president for eight years.

Ronald Reagan made up an innovative program. He called this program the Reagan Revolution. This program was designed to help American citizens and to reduce how much they depended on their government. In 1980, he said, “I pledge to restore the great, confident roar of American progress, growth and optimism.”

Ronald Reagan was a strong father, president, and husband. He was married twice. His first wife, Jane Wyman, and he had two children, Michael and Maureen. Sadly, Maureen died in 2001 (they were divorced many, many years prior). The name of his second wife was Nancy Davis, and they also had two children, Patricia Ann and Ronald Prescott.

Ronald Reagan was born on February 6th, 1911, in Tampico, Illinois. Then, he passed away on June 5th, 2004 in Bel-Air, California.

He had many accomplishments in his life. Many people saw some big changes like restoration, or prosperity, but most importantly world peace! He is truly a hero, and changed my life for the better.
