The famous Québécoise author Roch Carrier, known for writing "The Hockey Sweater" and "Our life with the rocket: the Maurice Richard story," has always loved hockey ever since he can remember. And as you can see from his book The Hockey Sweater, his favourite team was the Montréal Canadians. Also his favourite player was Maurice Richard aka "the rocket." Roch Carrier's hometown is Sainte-Justine-de-Dorchester in Quebec. Roch Carrier's way of expressing his love of hockey is not only playing it, it's also sharing it with other people by his writing like a lot of great authors do. Very ironically Roch Carrier confessed to being the worst hockey player in his village. As a child Roch Carrier knew he wanted to be a writer when he was older. One of the biggest disappointments of his life was when he got a Toronto Maple Leafs sweater instead of the Montréal Canadians sweater he wanted.
