There are many people who risk their lives to save others every day. They aren't anything but ordinary people. I think Rhonda Crosswhite is a hero. She risked her life and job to save some of her students. She put her life directly on the line to make sure the students didn't die during the Oklahoma City tornado in 2013. Heroes risk everything they have to save others and they put others before themselves.

She had faith in what she was doing. She wasn't worried about the consequences of her actions. "I never thought I was going to die" said Rhonda. (People.com) Rhonda said she wasn't worried about what would happen to her. She just wanted to keep the children safe and alive. That's all that she thought about. She had faith in God when she asked him to keep them safe and not to take them from her. She knew that she could get fired for praying out loud in school. She didn't care, she just wanted to make sure the children were safe.

Rhonda didn't worry about herself at all. She focused on keeping the children safe and alive. She felt the pain in her back as the walls started falling down on them. She tried to keep the children calm. Rhonda said she just keep telling the children "quit worrying we're fine, we're fine, I'm protecting you."(Usnews.nbcnews.com) She just wanted her students to be safe. She didn't care if she was hurt. She didn't feel the pain from all the cuts she had on her. She was so happy that none of her students died.

There are many kinds of heroes. To me a hero is anybody who is willing to risk everything to help or protect others. They don't care what will happen to them they just want to keep others safe or help them out. I think that anybody can be a hero if they really try. Rhonda put her life and job on the line to save her students and she didn't care about that stuff at all during the tornado.

If everybody would act like this every day then we would have a great country. Heroes are great to have around. They have faith in what they are doing and don't worry about themselves while they are doing it. Hero's are all around the world doing things that save others from harm or death. They do things that are dangerous that others might not do.
