Rainbow Dash

       Rainbow Dash is the high speed flying pegasus from My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. She is my hero because she shows loyalty, confidence, mischievouness, confidence with her athletics, and is unique to herself.

  What makes a good friend? Rainbow Dash shows us the being loyal to your friends and your job is a nice quality in making and having friends. She could never let her own hearts desires be more important than sticking by her friends. In episode two, Friendship is Magic part 2, she is faced with the Shadowbolts and their scheme to join their race team. Rather then joining them she fixes the bridge so her friends may cross and go further into the forest. Rainbow Dash makes a good friend.

  Next, she is very confident in her abilities as a quick flying pony. Rainbow Dash is rather big headed when it comes to her confidence to do things, but gets lazy because of it. In Episode one when Twilight Sparkle first meets Rainbow Dash she is found laying down on a cloud rather then clearing the skies for the festival. When it is mentioned that she couldn't be fast enough for the Wonderbolts, Equestria's fastest race pegasus', she "clears the sky in ten seconds flat (Rainbow Dash.)" Her confidence is something to admire.

       Although she is very athletic, she also enjoys pranking her friends and being mischievous. Rainbow Dash will take every opportunity she can to pull a prank or say something to stir up a little trouble for her amusement. Rainbow Dash and her friend Pinkie Pie go around Ponyville pulling pranks on ponies in the Griffon the Brush Off episode. She doesn't prank to be mean though, "it's all in good fun (Rainbow dash, Luna Eclipsed)." Her love for being a little bit of a trouble maker doesn't mean that she isn't a good friend.

       Rather than just being quick on her wings, she has a sense of style. She can be seen a pair of black shades throughout the series many times. Being an arrogant pony and wanting to be "20% cooler" it's apparent why she wears the shades. In the picnic episode she can be seen kicking back on the blanket wearing said shades.

Next, Rainbow Dash has more than high speed flying on her side, she also has many unique skills. The most famous of her skills is the rainbow mushroom cloud explosion from Lesson Zero. While helping her friend Apple Jack tear apart an old barn she zooms from every direction tearing a little bit away and then finally nose diving straight down on to it to create a huge rainbow coloured explosion.

Concluding, Rainbow Dash is a loyal friend, confident in herself, a prankster, and unique. This is why Rainbow Dash is My Hero.
