Reggie Fils-Aime

by Feras from San Diego

Reggie Fils-Aime is an inspiration to me and to many others. He is regular person, just like many of us but excels in his hard work, hope, and his determination in success. Fils-Aime has made a big impact on this world and on its technology. "Reggie Fils-Aime (pronounced FEES-oe-MEY) was promoted to president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America in 2006..."("Gale"). Fils-Aime was the CEO of Nintendo America. Fils-Aime used to bond with his children by playing Nintendo games. He loved playing games with his kids, and eventually got a job to help people do the same. Fils-Aime was a hardworking man who made his way up to CEO of Nintendo. He was born in New York, and grew up in it. He goes there often but doesn't work there; his main office is located in California San Francisco. A hero in my eyes, has to be successful from working hard, and always has hope in their heart. Reggie FIls-Aime works hard and doesn't give up; he trusts in himself and has hope in others. Hard work made him successful therefore; he is a hero and also a great role model.

Fils-Aime worked hard, and became the person he is today. No one is born successful, it takes sweat, blood, and hard work. In the New York Times article written by Bobbi Dempsey, he interviewed Fils-Aime and found out when all of his hard work began. "As a child, I envisioned a career in the hard sciences. In sixth grade, I was buying college chemistry textbooks." ("Dempsey, Bobbi"). Reggie Fils-Aime worked more than a regular boy. He bought books college level so he would stay advanced; he would always try to think ahead. He stayed future focused and kept working hard until he reached his goal. When Fils-Aime got older his hard work didn't stop there; he had goals in mind that he was willing to achieve. "Two years later, Fils-Aime was promoted from head of sales and marketing to president at the American office." ("Kim Peterson"). Reggie Fils-Aime worked his way up and became the head of sales marketing in only two years. Fils-Aime worked hard towards his life goals; he eventually took over Nintendo. Fils-Aime worked hard from the begin and never gave up. This habit of hard work since he was young never faded but instead exploded. He grew up working hard and continues to work hard today.

Having hope is one thing, but staying hopeful is another. Reggie Fils-Aime had hope in a better life and a successful one too. Fils-Aime didn't just have hope in a better future, but hope in himself and others. Because he was such a big ball of hope, Fils-Aime became more determined and future focused. "The Wii fulfilled Fils-Aime's hopes in piquing the interest of the vast, untapped market of non-gamers such as senior citizens, who were finding the Wii titles an ideal way to keep in shape without leaving the house." ("Gale"). Reggie Fils-Aime wanted to help people and allow having a good time. He had hope in helping seniors and children stay fit by playing video games. He wanted to give a good new look on video games. He never gave up on reaching his goal. Fils-Aime wanted a healthy future, and he aimed at achieving that as long as he had hope. Fils-Aime had hope even in hardships. He grew up with hope and still has plenty of hope in being more successful today. "I grew up in a lower-middle-class environment, usually the lone minority among my classmates. My parents, both immigrants from Haiti, had a Romeo-and-Juliet type of story." ("Bobbi Dempsey"). Reggie Fils-Aime wasn't spoiled growing up. Living in the community he was in was tough. His parents were immigrants, and he was always different than everyone else. Fils-Aime didn't give up on himself. He still had hope in a successful future. Even his parents had hope in a successful relationship. Reggie Fils-Aime had hope no matter the situation, he had dreamed in a better future, and eventually his life became better.

Reggie Fils-Aime worked hard to achieve his hope and life goals. He never gave up in the toughest of times; he had hope in a better future and worked hard to have just that. Reggie Fils-Aime became the CEO of Nintendo due to his hard work over the past years, and his hope in others and himself. Reggie Fils-Aime was the first African American to ever be the CEO Nintendo's U.S. division. He made history in gaming, and inspired others that hard work can make anything possible. He also showed that speaking your mind is important. Fils-Aime changed the gaming industry for everyone and made a huge difference for everyone. He inspired everyone to go out and make a change. It doesn't have to be small or a big change, as long as people make a change. He made a huge difference and showed everyone that you may be able to make a change to this world.
