My hero is my Grandma Rosemary. She was born in Chicago, Illinois. She currently lives in California. She lives on a really high hill with a beautiful view of the ocean. My grandma was nineteen when she had my uncle. My grandpa left my grandma when my aunt was barely turning one. My grandma was twenty-eight when she had to take care of three children on her own.
My grandma worked two jobs and barely got by. My mom had to take care of my aunt a lot because my grandma had to work. I can only imagine how hard it was to support three kids on her own and work two jobs. My Grandma Rosemary is my hero because she is the most accomplished, strong, brave, loving, forgiving, generous, caring, thankful, beautiful, and strong-willed person that I have ever met in my life. For a living, she works as a counselor and as a drug/alcohol/marriage/family therapist.
She also used to work at a correctional facility in Orange County as a teacher. She helped the cellmates learn how to lead a more productive life when they got out of jail. She also helped them realize why they were in jail, and why what they did was wrong.
She is so amazing by the way she helps so many people and teaches them right from wrong when only wrong is what they think is right. She also teaches them that doing bad things is never the way to go, even if you think it's the only way. Whether it would be because of an alcohol problem, a drug problem, or a family problem, she is there to help and give advice. That is exactly what I want to do when I'm older.
My grandma is important to me because she is a really special person with really amazing gifts. She is such an inspiration in my life. What she does is what God intended us to do. She helps those in need of help. She leads people in the right direction. She teaches people right from wrong. When I grow up I want to help people who have decided that they need help and they ask for it. I want to help people go in the right direction when they're going in the wrong direction. I hope, when I become older, I am given the gifts that my grandma was given and I hope I can help people the way she does.
