Enrique Martin Morales, (Ricky Martin) was born in San Juan of Puerto Rico, on 24 December 1971. He started working at a very early age, as a child model and he participated in choirs. Later, he was a member of a very famous band: "Menudo. After several work, tours, recordings, Ricky left the group to settle down in New York, and later in Mexico.
His albums were 13: `Ricky Martín' (1991), `Me amaras' (1993), `A medio vivir' (1995), `Vuelve' (1998), "Ricky Martin1" (1998), `Sound Loaded' (2000), `Historia' and `The best of Ricky Martín' (2001), `Almas del Silencio' (2003), `Life' (2005), `MTV unplugged' (2006), `Black and White Tour 2007 ', and `Ricky Martin 17 ' (2008).
Ricky Martin has been given several awards, like the "Leadership In The Arts Award", the "Billboard's Spirit of Hope Award" and the "Award Soul," among others, by the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
In 2002, Ricky founded the "Ricky Martin Foundation" and started a project to fight against the traffic and abuse of children. That same year, he received the "Hispanic Heritage Award", for his work along with "Sabera Foundation" to rescue three orphaned children from the streets of Calcutta. He recorded ‘’Voice of Hope’’ for that foundation. In that album, he included the song "Amarey and Mangalie", a tribute to his two children.
