Ron Mayernick

Every person in life should have a hero figure that they look up to and idolize. The person who is my hero is my grandpa, Ron Mayernick. He is my hero because he could be the strongest and funniest person I know. My Grandpa fought in the Vietnam War and earned over eight medals during his service. Coming home from the war he continued to raise my Mother who is a wonderful and well brought up woman. My Grandpa has also survived two strokes and is fully functional of everything. Throughout all of that has happened to my Grandpa none of it has changed his personality and stopped him from being a comical person. My Grandpa not only raised my Mother and both of my Aunts but also raised both of my two step Aunts who now see him as their real father. My Grandpa is one of those old men that everyone respects and waves to around the neighborhood, even if they do not know him all too well. My Grandpa is a respected man and has accomplished a lot in his life and that is why he is my Hero.
