Reggie Miller

by Izad from Mission Viejo

The first time I saw Reggie Miller was on YouTube and I was watching sports science and they started to talk about Reggie Miller. They said that he had made the most three pointers ever in the NBA. They were saying that he had a pure jump shot and that is the best in the NBA at shooting. Just because of that video Reggie Miller became one of my favorite players of all time and now I try to play basketball like him. It is the way I want to play in my games. I would love to be shooter of our Capo basketball team, but I can't because I'm the point guard and I'm the person that runs the plays and runs all the plays.

Reggie Miller was an NBA player, so he is an athlete and that means he gets paid a lot in a year. Athletes get paid a lot so he gets paid at least 20 million dollars a year. Hopefully I will be a NBA professional basketball player when I grow up. I want to go to UCLA when I grow up, it is my dream school. My brother goes there and I want to go there too. Some similar careers are the soccer players that went to UCLA.

Reggie Miller attended Riverside High School and the University of California, Los Angles. I'm nothing like him there; history is one of my worst subjects. In the 1984-1985 NCAA season he led UCLA to a championship. One of his best games was in 1987. He made a buzzer beater for the win from 24 feet away. That game was one of my favorite games of all time. I have seen it on NCAA times.

My hero Reggie Miller can help others by letting them know that you never quit and l know that's not much but when you start quitting it won't feel right and you will never do it again, and you will keep trying harder. Trust me, it feels good when you accomplish something without thinking about quitting. What Reggie Miller taught me about basketball was that no matter how good the potent is I can still win, and that really changed how I played basketball. And his quote "I've always liked to shoot from the hip. This is the perfect fit for me ... I'm willing to earn my spurs, because once again, after 18 years I'm back to being a rookie."

Well in high school I will go to the classes that can take me to UCLA like my basketball and all my other classes. For clubs I will join any club that will help. For my college goals I want to get in the college basketball team and get a bachelor's degree. And hopefully I won't do badly in college with my grades. So hopefully when I finish with college I can be a professional NBA player and live on from there and have a great life.
