Ryo Nishikido

Viuhh, finally I am making this story, after I have thought, “Who should I choose for my story?” For a long time I have admired him. I choose Ryo Nishikido as my hero. Maybe people in other countries didn’t know about him, this condition happened in myself too at the past. In 2006, 1 liter of tears (Ryo’s drama) was being played, I started to think that this person isn’t good at all, I hated him at that time. But after I followed the story, I began to admire him, his acting and his face! He is pretty good looking too. His acting in 1 liter of tears was really shines and made me fall in love with him. Since that moment, I began to admire him.

Ryo Nishikido was born in Hyougo Prefecture, Japan and in November 3 1984. His family includes father, mother, two older brothers, one younger sister, one niece. He joined Johnny’s Entertainment since 1997 and was placed in two J-pop groups belonging to Johnny’s Entertainment. The groups are NEWS and Kanjani8. The unbelievable thing is that he was happened to grow slowly. When he was 15 years old, he is 150 cm tall! Because of that, he looked really cute and adorable, but now, he is 170 cm tall. It’s much better then.

The question is why do I admire him a lot? First, because he is a really good actor. This was proofed by some comments from other moviegoers. They said that he had made them cry a lot. Even after my friend had watched it, her eyes were swollen in the next day. And that day was a school day, it’s funny. Ryo Nishikido had played in 13 dramas and the popular were 1 Liter Of Tears and Attention Please, and in 2008 he will play in a drama called “Isshun no Kaze ni Nare”, I can’t wait to watch it.

Second, because he is a good singer and musician. His voice is rather hoarse, I think, his voice makes him different from others, it’s unique, isn't it? Kanjani8 and NEWS had already released many singles, several albums and singles. He is a good musician, he made 3 songs that were composed and written by Ryo, and 2 songs that he wrote by himself. It is so amazing that none of the members can write and compose a song like he did. It means that he has the potential that others didn’t have. As I mentioned in the above, he joined two groups, and he is still enthusiastic even though he knew that to be in two groups simultaneously will be very tough. So, he had motivated me to do the best in achieving my dream. The result of his hard work was, he won an award: 7th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix (2003-04): Best Newcomer (Teruteru Kazoku).

Third, his ambition to create a song is admirable. He learnt to play guitar for a long time from Yasuda Shota (member in Kanjani8) because he was really wanted to make his own song, and his dream is coming true now. I am motivated with his ambition that makes me want to create something that can make my family happy and of course myself. I want to study abroad, and when I remember his ambition, I realize that I should do my best, try to do my job as a student as hard as I can, because seeing him as Ryo Nishikido now, makes me know how much his hard work was. Everyone tries his journey from the bottom until the top, and everyone must know that every achievement starts from his willpower. If there is a will, there is a way. Ryo Nishikido has a strong desire to become a good musician and entertainer, so that, it makes him like a “Ryo” in the present.

Fourth, because he has a strength to survive. Ryo Nishikido was left by his best friend who was on the same group (NEWS and Kanjani8), his name was Uchi Hiroki. Uchi was suspended from the groups in 2005 because he was caught drinking in public while being under the legal drinking of 20. I know that being left by someone we love is a tragedy. But Ryo, even though he was really sad, he could survive from his suffering. After 2 years, his long and winding road is totally ended by the returning of his best friend, Uchi Hiroki. Uchi is starring in a new drama called “Isshun No Kaze Ni Nare” with Ryo. Uchi and Ryo are always supporting each other, it is proof that when Uchi was decided to play as the leading role in drama after a long time, Ryo said “You did it!” Although it is a short and simple word, it can make someone arise from the bad thing that had happened to him and to get the spirit alive. It has also happened to me. When I was entering high school, I was left by my best friends, there are five. The reason is because they were admitted in another school. At first, I was so devastated that I was scared at not having any friends in high school. I lost my spirit to go to school, until I realized that my future depends on me, not on my friends. So that I decided to become cheerful even though I knew that it was tough. But now, I have my own life in Santa Ursula Senior High School with my lovely friends, and I will always remember my friends that are studying in another school, because I love them!

Last but not least, it is because he is emotional besides his manly character. “Yesterday I started passionately talking about my work and before I realized it I was crying.” It proof that even a manly character like Ryo Nishikido, might be crying for no reason. This tells us that nobody, especially men, may not cry because if you have something that you want it to be out, just cry and you will be OK. Please do. But remember, that nothing will be finished without conclusion. You must try your best.

Finally, I want to conclude my story about Ryo Nishikido. I hope that with my story, people will know Ryo Nishikido better, but even if Ryo is not popular, he will always be in my heart.
