Firstly, I will go to describe what is a hero for me. In my mind, a hero is someone who devotes his life for others. a hero must be brave, courageous and generous Someone who never gives up, he must be strong-willed. No matter what he is in real life, his love for humanity is his strength. Rosa Parks is all of these things, making a true hero.
Rosa Parks was an activist of people's Rights, in particular, the Black people. She was very courageous to fight for her liberty. I admire this woman, it's a real example for me. Rosa Louise McCauley Parks, called Rosa Parks was born on February 4th , 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama. She was an African American woman who became an emblematic figure of the fight against the racial segregation in parts of the USA. Rosa was called "The Mother of Civil Rights". In fact, this name was given to her by the American Congress. She fought together with Martin Luther King (1929-1968) an African American baptist minister, he fought for the Black People's Civil Rights in USA. He was an actor in the fight against racial segregation. Rosa Parks studied in Alabama State Teachers College for Negros. The Ku Klux Klan had burnt this college twice. At that time, Rosa Parks was a child. Rosa Parks was dressmaker then a secretary in the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

The 1st December 1955, Rosa Parks became the champion of the Civil Rights Movement.
This day, while Rosa Parks was on route in a bus, she declined to give up her place to a white passenger in the Montgomery bus.
Her act introduced the boycott of the transport in the city during 380 days, led by Martin Luther King. Moreover, at that time, the seats were reserved for White people. The Black people should either stand up or sit down on seats reserved for them in the back of the bus.
Therefore, she was charged with public disorder and violation of locals laws. So she received a penalization of 15 dollars.
Following her arrest, the Montgomery Improvement Association was created. He aimed to defend the non-violence and disobedience .
Because of her bravery against the oppression of African Americans, she was rewarded by the Spingarn Medal in 1979, then a Gold Medal by the American Congress in 1999.
Rosa Parks wrote her autobiography, Rosa Parks: My Story, published in 1992. She died peacefully one the 24th October 2005 in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 92 years old, when she was sleeping.
I am inspired by this woman because, for me, her title of hero is widely deserve. She fought her for her liberty and the liberty of her nation. She stood up against the oppression, she confronted her fears. I consider her as the woman the most courageous from that time. She is part of the personality who marked the African American's history. Thanks to her bravery, the fight was born and will continue until the Black People have their place and what they deserve in the American Society.
