The hero I chose is Ronald Reagan. The reason I chose him as my hero is because he was a very influential and successful person. I don’t think I could win an election for one thing, but Reagan won 2 during his lifetime. He was a speaker for General Electric and was also president for the Screen Actors Guild. There are many things that Ronald did to inspire me.
My hero’s name is Ronald Reagan. He was born in Tampico, Illinois on February 6, 1911 and died on June 5, 2004. He was originally a member of the Democratic Party but then decided to join the Republican Party in 1962 when he was 51 years old. He was the 40th president of the United States of America and the 33rd governor of California. He was elected as president on January 20, 1981 and ended his second term on January 20, 1989. He was elected as governor of California on January 3, 1967 and ended his second term of January 7, 1975.

Ronald Reagan was a very influential person because he lowered taxes substantially. He allowed the growth domestic product to grow at an average 3.4% every year he was in office. When unemployment rates were at their highest, Ronald created sixteen million new jobs. He also helped reduce the need and prices of oil in the country. Lastly, he helped end the Cold War, which helped bring peace.
Ronald Reagan has inspired me by the fact that he has brought our economy out of a rough spot under criticism. Another thing that I admire him for is the fact that he created 16 million jobs when the country needed them. The fact that he started out making 10 dollars an hour shows that you can do anything you put your mind to. I also admire the fact that he brought us out of the Cold War. Basically he helped create a safer world for America.

Ronald Reagan was a man with faith, perseverance, and adaptability. He followed his dreams and went on to become the 33rd governor of California and the 40th president of the United States. He was a man who made this country a better place for everyone. He used his resources for the greater good and tried his hardest to do things well. It just goes to show that anything is possible.
