Ryan Sheckler (allissports.com) |
Ryan Allen Sheckler, born December 30, 1989 (age 25) in San Clemente, California. Ryan Sheckler has been skating ever since he was 18 months old. Then he became a professional at the age of 13, the youngest skater to get a sponsorship. 13 year old Ryan went through a 11lot of professional skate competitions and became the youngest skater to win gold. As Ryan kept rising on his sponsorship he made a non-profitable organization call "Sheckler Foundation". Ryan will also go out into neighborhoods all around the world to skate with them. Ryan Shecklar is a hero because of his determination, generosity, and inspiration.
Ryan Sheckler's determination is just phenomenal. At the age of 13 Ryan went through all sorts of competitions such as, "Gravity Games", "Vans Triple Crown", "Slam City", and "X-Games". Also in 2004 he was named "World Cup National Street Champ". When he was 13 ryan sheckler won gold in 2003 X-Games. Ryan has gotten within 1st-3rd in xgames in, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012. An example of Ryans greatness would be when he beat Nyjah Huston in 2013 X-Games with a kickflip backside boardslide on the rail, backside kickflip down the gap, a huge switch kickflip that he barely landed and a backside tailslide down the ledge that earned him a 90.33 with the win.
Although Ryan could've gone down the "I'm the greatest in the world" route he decided to stay on the good route and make a non-profit foundation called "Sheckler Foundation". Founded in 2008, The Sheckler Foundation was created as an avenue for Ryan Sheckler, his family, friends and business associates to give back to the community and industry that they are so grateful. Fueled by the desire to contribute to the many causes that directly benefit and enrich the lives of children and injured action sports athletes, The Sheckler Foundation will produce fundraising events, passion projects and web-based initiatives to raise capital and awareness. Our ultimate goal is to empower our community to "Be the Change"! Some of the charities that The Shecklar Foundation has donated to would be The Make A Wish Program, St.Jude, Deliver A Dream, and Children's Wish Foundation.
One of the many reasons Ryan is a hero is because of the inspiration he is. Ryan Sheckler is the only professional skaters to go out and skate with kids at their skateparks. He always shows them how do a trick and tells them to commit. Many of the the unprofessional skater kids that watch him skate will follow him on instagram and just by that alone you can tell how many people love Ryan to know what he's doing all the time. Ryan has his own show on MTV, and you can see some of the episodes on MTV.com. His show is called Life Of Ryan, and he has many episodes of him skating with kids.
Ryan Allen Sheckler, son, brother, good skater, and loved by everyone. Ever since he was a kid he's been shredding some gnar on his board. As he progresses in his career he has become the youngest skater in the world to win gold in professional contests. Then he makes a non-profit foundation to help raise money for research to cancer. Finally to top it all off he goes and helps kids get better at skating. For all these reason Ryan Allen Sheckler is a hero to nearly every skater in America and possibly the world.
