Reinhardt Wilhelm

In my opinion, a hero is someone which does something brave, helpful towards a person in particular or towards a community. To be honest, my way of seeing and describing a hero is very vague because I do not have a general and fixed idea about how a hero could really be, but I, at least believe a hero has to do a beneficial/pleasant, heroic-ish act and has to show perseverance.

In the middle 2070's, in an alternate universe of our world, a German man named Reinhardt Wilhelm is a massive man of 61 years old and that has a height over 2 meters tall. His somewhat hobby is to bring justice and protection to whoever is in need of it, he fights all around the world with honour and braveness. Even if he has 61 years old, he has always fought for justice with honour, courage and valour. He has done many heroic actions in his youth and elderly age, but sadly, his life wasn't the easiest a person could have, let me explain it to you.

In his 17-early 20, his application to the Bundeswehr, his dream job, had been denied and rejected harshly. (The Bundeswehr is the Federal defence of Germany). But even if his dream had just been broken into pieces, he didn't give up and stayed strong and determined and with his tough personality, he has persisted and a decade later, he has joined the Crusaders, which is an association that fights against omnics (Sentient robots thinking they have a soul), but against like every other kind of army, this one has you equipped with an armour and with a mechanical hammer that is alike the armour, huge and heavy. This very hammer is supplied with rockets and motors, making this weapon a very destructive and powerful weapon you don't want to mess with.

Sadly, a year later, the city he has been defending over the cost of his life has been overrun and destroyed by an army of vicious omnics. During this fight, he hopefully hasn't died, but he has severely been scarred on his left eye, he's gotten really badly injured that he has lost sight of that eye and left him half-blind.. However, after this terrific event, he still hasn't stopped to defend everyone he could find and lend a hand to. Many years later, he joined a group that fights for justice throughout the world and that assures the protection of the whole world against these horrible omnics, this group was called "Overwatch", Emphasis on the "was" because unfortunately, this group has been disbanded after they've succumbed to many internal problems. Reinhardt has lost many friends but he didn't lose faith and continued to protect and to deliver justice throughout the world and won't stop doing that until he dies.

If I'm inspired by Reinhardt Wilhelm (Even if he's fictional), it is because of these factors : I find his perseverance a model everyone should be aware of because even if his dreams were broken to pieces multiple times and the fact that through his living he had a lot of obstacles and problems, he got over it and kept moving on. Furthermore, his heroic personality to try to protect everyone is something really heart warming because he is really dedicated to this belief of his own. Likewise, He is extremely courageous, determined and helpful to anyone even if there is a war between humanity and omnics. Also, I have to admit that I'm in complete awe of his numerous actions surely because he's saved and helped a huge bunch of people over his 61 years of life.
