A hero is a person who can be looked up to and can guide the way for young adults who admire them. The person I look up to is Ray Lewis. He is a dominant player in the National Football League. He inspires me to become a better person and football player by the way he presents himself. He tries to help out a lot and so do I. Ray Lewis is my hero because he is brave, he is athletic, and he is a great leader.

Ray Lewis has many characteristics. Lewis is very brave and can handle anything that comes his way. He faces his opponents every time he steps on the field during game time.

One of the many heroic characteristics Lewis has is being very athletic. He is one of the best and most explosive linebackers in the NFL. He has received the tackling awards many years in a row for the Baltimore Ravens. He has also been voted to the pro bowl 10 times. His best achievement is winning Super Bowl XXXV and being awarded MVP. He has 28 interceptions, 917 tackles, and 33.5 sacks in his NFL career.

Ray Lewis also possesses great leadership skills. He is the main threat of the team especially on the defensive side of the ball. He is a captain of the Ravens defense and other players around the league are inspired by him. Before each game he gets the team pumped up by giving them a speech/ pep talk. His skills and dedication gives him the mind set to play the game as well as he does. He is the heart and soul of the Baltimore Ravens defense.

Those are only a few reasons why I picked Ray Lewis as my hero. He inspires and influences me a lot. I hope to meet with him and talk with him one day. He is a great person and I hope to be like him in my future.
