My hero is Rebecca Lobo. She was born on October 6th, 1973 in Hartford, CT. Rebecca has an older sister and brother. Her brother and sister both played basketball. Both of her parents were teachers. Her father was also a basketball coach. When Rebecca was growing up she loved the Celtics. She wanted to play on the Celtics. As she was growing up she played on the boys' basketball team because Southwick didn't have a good girl's team. I chose Rebecca Lobo because she is a basketball player and basketball is my favorite sport. She is loyal to her team and a great player. She is hardworking and determined to succeed at anything she does.
Rebecca Lobo made a difference in my life when I was little and I wanted to play basketball. My dad wanted me to learn how to play so he would teach me in my front yard and he would make me watch WNBA on TV. I remember when I first started watching it I was always a fan of Rebecca Lobo. Rebecca Lobo is considered a hero because she is one of the biggest stars of the WNBA. She always listened to her parents and coaches and she was a hardworking player.
Rebecca Lobo is my hero. She is dedicated and an amazing player. I wish I could be like her. If I keep trying maybe I can be. I will be the best that I can be.
