I Chose this hero because he took skateboarding to a whole new level by making most of the tricks and he inspires me to skate and make it a major thing in my life. He was Born August 17 1966, in Gainesville Florida. In University he took Biomedical Engineering and he has a Wife named Traci Mullen. Rodney started skating at the age of 10 even though his father was really against it because he was worried his son would hurt himself because he knew it was a dangerous sport.

When Rodney was younger the thing that inspired him to skate was just the fact that it was Different and Creative because it had no teams and no captains. It's also what opened my eyes to skateboarding and now it's my favourite sport today. Among the obstacles he had to face were the fact his dad didn't want him to skate because there are people out there that have gotten injuries and even died from skateboarding because like i said its a dangerous sport the way he overcame this obstacle was if he ever got badly injured that Rodney would quit.

I Consider Rodney a hero because he made up most of the tricks having a good attitude which inspires me to skateboard. He created so many tricks like 39 distinct tricks my favourite ones right now are the kickflip, the heelflip, and the 360 flip or treflip.
