Robin Pierson

Before I met the delightful and gentle woman Robin Pierson, she was a donor to the work I get to do in Nepal.  We met at a wonderful dinner arranged by my friend Ileana where two other humanitarians were present.  Ileana wanted us all to meet as to her, we are all her heroes.

Robin offered me her professional skills and talents to write for the Foundation.  She then served on a committee for a fundraiser 2 years back, and served wine which she personally provided... a way to generate more funds from the event.

Then... Robin offered to sponsor me within the group in which she is a member, Impact Giving, for a grant.  We wrote the grant toward the second school we agreed to build.  We got through the process, all the way to the members deciding on other worthy charities.  And again, we applied for the grant, changing our direction and aiming at the 'goat' efforts, not the school.

Robin visited Nepal for other interests of hers and piggy-backed seeing our work while there.  She met Rabindra, toured several of our villages, but particularly Wojehtar with our school where she taught for a day.  She understood the heart of our work, and was all the more enthusiastic about our programs in place. 

She continues to offer her skills to us to keep our message out there, clear and tasty with her descriptive writing.  We would not be as visible without Robin Pierson, let alone as supported by her efforts to assist our lofty programs to help women. 

Grants, articles, visiting our school and prospective school site and writing for the grants as she has done.  No doubt about it, this is another of the fine heroes in my life!
