My dad pitching (got it on the internet) |
My father is Robert L. Wells A.K.A Bob Wells. My dad was a baseball player for the Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins, and Philadelphia Phillies. He also did spring training with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The order of the baseball teams he's played for is: the Phillies, Mariners, then Twins.
When my father went to IKE he set the record of strikeouts by any highschool pitcher. The record was 148 strikeouts in 62 1/2 innings. The record is still held after about 23 years. He set the record as a senior.
My dad is now a farmer. My dad owns a lot of orchards. He now has three kids. They are Ben (13 years old), Samuel (11 years old), and me, Olivia (10 years old). He is married to my mother, Heide (40 years old) and my dad is 42 years old.
My dad went to Wilson for school. He was one of four kids in his family. We live in Washington.
I chose to write about my dad because he was a baseball player and he is my daddy. My dad enjoys playing with his kids. My brothers and I all play baseball. He likes helping us with batting stances and things like that. People say it's in our blood.
